Position Description

Involved with all aspects of System Development Lifecycle pertaining to SOA projects. ? Work with Web, MQ and Mainframe Developers to design and implement SOA components. ? Coordinate architecture and design activities across SOA projects. ? Design and build common SOA/Enterprise components to be implemented across application development. ? Work with middleware developers to ensure that coding standards are being met. ? Maintain SOA Architecture documentation, including UML diagrams, WSDL, Middleware work-products, consumer information, etc. ? Evaluate new toolsets and/or frameworks to determine feasibility in client's SOA architecture. ? Work closely with the Enterprise Security Office and Internal Audit to ensure that security and audit policies are being met. ? Provide problem resolutions from both a technical and business perspective. ? Recommend system and process design changes. ? Effectively communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of the staff. ? Provide weekly time reports and participate in staff meetings ? Provide 24/7 support as needed ? Maintain technical skills and provide guidance to development staff. ? Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Training: Applicants must have 5+ years of IT experience. Applicants must have 2+ years of IBM MQ Broker design and programming experience with ESQL. Applicants must have 2+ years with JAVA/J2EE programming. Applicants for this position should have a strong knowledge of object-oriented design concepts. Applicants should be proficient with UML. Applicants should have some experience with Mainframe architecture and programming concepts. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Ability to communicate effectively. ? Ability to work independently and with little supervision. ? Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality. ? Ability to create and sustain positive relationships with members of the business units. ? Proficient with Java Messaging Service (JMS) and Message Driven Beans (MDB) ? Proficient with SOA and SOA concepts ? Proficient in JAVA/J2EE. ? Proficient in DB2 and SQL concepts. ? Knowledge of IBM Websphere MQ Series, IBM Websphere MQ Broker and ESQL ? Knowledge of Mainframe/CICS/Cobol programming concepts Bonus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Proficient with OO concepts and how they apply to design and architecture. ? Proficient with industry standard design patterns ? Proficient in SDLC concepts ? Proficient in Java Web Service technologies ? Proficient with Hibernate a plus ? Proficient in UML a plus ? Knowledge of Cold Fusion 8 or higher.
